Chinese WS-2D rocket launchers for Morocco

According to the Morroccan newspaper Hasparis issued on February 18 and cited by SDArabia Security and Denfense Arabia websites, Morocco is strengthening its artillery arsenal with China-made WS-2D multiple-rocket launcher systems (MLRS).

US gives Jordan 150 M557 Command Post Vehicles

On February 20, Jordan has taken delivery of 150 units of M577 Command Post vehicles, a version of the battle-proven M113 APC. They are a gift from the US government to be used in combat and for border protection, according to an official statement.

Russian Helicopters to Produce TVS-2DTS light airplanes at Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant

Russian Helicopters, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, as well as the Republic of Buryatia and the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, have signed an agreement on arranging local air routes. The document stipulates launching production of TVS-2DTS light airplanes at Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant and creating an airline-operator. Read more

Russian helicopters in tactical drills

More than 20 helicopters, including Mil Mi-28N (NATO code name: Havoc) attack and Mi-35M (Hind) transport/attack helicopters, and a squadron of Kamov Ka-52 (Hokum-B) rotorcraft, have held a tactical exercise in the Krasnodar Territory in south Russia, Russian Southern Military District spokesman Vadim Astafyev said.

According to the Diplomat newspaper website, South Korea will produce 106 additional K2 Black Panther main battle tanks (MBTs) for the ROK (Republic of Korea) army. US tankers in South Korea learn to navigate urban terrain

South Korea has large metropolitan areas, and cavalry units here can be called on to conduct infantry operations in an urban environment. The training is needed so that the first time Soldiers need to operate in urban areas isn’t during conflict.

India: Defence council clears order of BMP-2 and -2K combat vehicles

On 20 February, the Indian Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, approved capital acquisition proposals worth 9.2 billion rupees ($150 million), which primarily includes purchasing 149 Infantry Combat Vehicles for the army.
