Two Project 636.3 (NATO reporting name: Improved Kilo-class) diesel-electric submarines of the Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet have covered an amphibious landing operation in Crimea as part of the ongoing snap inspection of the Russian Armed Forces, the Defense Ministry’s press office told journalists.
